This cotton candy machine is for use in very low volume applications. The 3017 Econo Floss only produces 1-2 cotton candy cones per minute, so it is perfect for home usage at birthday parties. The machine cannot handle mass production. This machine comes complete with a 25" diameter non-metallic bowl to hold all the fluffy cotton candy. The cabinet is stainless steel. The 3017 Econo Floss is heated by a ribbon and band unit that carbon brushes sweep against. Gold Medal has recently increased size of the carbon brushes to have the heat more efficiently carried to the heating element. The 3017 Econo Floss plugs into any 15 Amp line and draws only 10 Amps. It is 1250 watts and 120 volts.
